Open classes / Fitness Orienteering
Fin5 Orienteering week offers great opportunities also for fitness orienteers. Orienteering adventure with competitors from different age groups in the same terrains, with the same high standard maps is an unforgettable experience. Fitness orienteer is not tied to competitors’ tight schedules, so the day’s orienteering can be easily arranged to fit the family’s other schedules and routines.
Courses
There are five different open class course options daily available for fitness orienteers. Easy C (2-3 km) for beginners, medium B (3-4 km) for little more experienced and hard A3 (3km), hard A5 (4-5 km) and hard A7 (6-7 km) for experienced orienteers.

Registration and fees
Registrations are done in the info desk of the competition centre. Map fee is 30 €/week or 7 €/day. Fitness orienteer can also rent an Emit-card for 12 €/week tai 3 €/day. 50 € will be charged for a lost Emit-card. More information on the Emit-system is available at the competition centre.

At the start point competitor registers him/herself to the start official who leads the competitor to a right map box. Start is completed by an nuling the Emit-card. The emit-card will be read at the Finish point. The hired card must be returned at the info after the accomplishment
Results
Daily results are shown on the information board at the Event centre and also on the Fin5 website. Overall results will not be counted.
Prizes
Among the participants, two prizes are drawn per day from each class. On the fifth day of competition (18.7.), all the participants will receive a medal.
